Q No.1

How do the marvels of space and marvels of our own body point to the existence of Allah?

ANS:

THE MARVELS OF SPACE & BODY POINT TO THE EXISTENCE of ALLAH

The universe is one of the most outstanding witnesses to Allah’s existence.

What we have covered so far shows us that the attributes of the universe discovered by science point to the existence of Allah.

Science leads us to the conclusion that the universe has a Creator and this Creator is perfect in might, wisdom and knowledge.

It is religion that shows us the way in knowing Allah. It is therefore possible to say that science is a method we use to better see and investigate the realities addressed by religion.

These surahs begin in different forms yet they all point to the same thing: there is no Rabb higher or greater than Allah azza wa jal.

1.             To say He has no flaw in His Perfection, that He is Far above any imperfection.

2.             He is far above and beyond any similarity to His Creation.

3.           He is free from and above all kinds of association (shirk) and any un-divine attributes.

When one does tasbeeh, they negate any flaw and affirm all perfection in Allah azza wa jal.

“Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah, the King (of everything), the Holy, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” (62:1)

“Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah. His is the dominion, and to Him belong all the praises and thanks, and He is Able to do all things.” (64:1)

Our final destination is the life of the Hereafter. Where we end up, Jannah (Paradise) depends on what we worked towards in this life.

Allah has also described Paradise in many places in the Qur’an.

Always in the Qur’an when Allah mentions those who will attain Paradise, He mentions the believers, not the Muslims. He (جل جلالہ) says,

“Indeed the Muttaqoon will be amongst the Gardens and water-springs.”
[15:45]

The Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ و آلہ و سلم ) would often describe Paradise to his companions.

The Prophet (صلی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ و آلہ و سلم ) said

Umar(رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ ) excelled in every quality needed to become the Commander of believers; Amirul-Mu’minin. He was gifted with a sharp intellect. He possessed a strong sense of justice.

We can imagine him walking quickly about with a whip in hand, ready to punish the offenders on the spot, may be his own son. He never made his own people favourites.

He followed the law and did not care whom he punished or what might happen.
